New windscreen - fitted

Today I fitted a new windscreen glass and seal on my TR6, from Moss. It was fairly painless, and certainly much easier than the same job on the MGB GT!

However, I'm not very happy with the fit. Although everything is in place and nicely secure, the outside top corners of the rubber are not tight against the windscreen frame: there's a couple of millimetres gap.

Also, the silver trim strip went in rather too easily: I was expecting a struggle even with my special tool in hand, but it just pushed in by thumb.

I'd post a photo, but for some reason the Charter nameserver is acting up and I can't get to Flickr.

Julian - if a nameserver goes kaflooey, just go directly to the IP address:

That'll get you directly to Flickr.com

PS - maybe the glass and seal job should have been a bit "less" painless?

It's an intermittent problem, but yes I could have used the number address instead (if the nameserver was up to resolve it!)

Hey Julian, we have the same radio antennae hole in the right side of the body. Must've been from the same dealer (mine's a 73). Unless you are planning to re-install the radio, I closed my rather large hole with a solid rubber grommet that I have in my pile of spares from TRF. The grommet was a bit oversized so it required a bit of prodding to get it to pop in but there it stays and completely seals the area from leaks.
