Standard disclaimer, no connection at all, it just sounds really nice and I promised a fellow countryman that I would help spread the word.

The Queens Head Bar, Saint Petersburg FL

Paul and Darren, Lancashire and Yorkshire but no battle of the roses here just a great time. The soft opening was last night, here is the website and a little more info...www.thequeensheadbar.com

Open June 2009!
2501 Central Avenue, 33713, Saint Petersburg. What to expect....

An affordable and contemporary lounge restaurant and bar, featuring a diverse european menu using the finest fresh ingredients in an intimate enviroment.
boutique wines and champagnes from The USA and The World by the glass or bottle and a fantastic selection of beers, ales and ciders, domestic and weird!
a great place for meeting, mingling, conversation, drinking and eating with friends and soon to be friends.

Great happy hours, live entertainment, fab music, a really sexy chill-out garden, tv's for those who want 'em and action for those who want it.....

And a bartender that will call you a cab!

Oh my goodness!

Janet and I will be there next month!

OH, DOC....! Ya listenin'? :thirsty:

The last time I was in St. Pete, all the restaurants had wheelchair ramps. And this was before handicap access was mandated. The old retired peoples of the world capital. Enjoyed Tarpon Springs with all the Greek influence. Toured the Stamas factory, that was a trip....

WAKE UP, BRO! Ya need to do some reconnoiterin' for us!

hmmm.

We rarely visit St. Pete any more: One of Horsemits' paternal uncles (the one I REALLY got along with) lived there until his end. Spent many a fine afternoon in conversation and vodka sharing with the man. His passing coincided with the independence of Ukrane, something he had contributed much of his time to for many years. He confided in me as a fellow survivor of armed conflict, something he never did with his own children. The guy lost a leg to the Nazis, didn't slow him down. Uncle Julian. I miss him. Not much over there to entice us now.

We'll have to check out the eatery on our sojourn to visit Mickey and Janet.
