new valve cover issues

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.
I received a new valve cover as a gift, I believe it's the one from Moss. Issue i am having is that the studs are not tall enough, ie: i don't have enough threads to attach the two nuts to hold it down. I was wondering if anyone else with a 1500 who have run into the same issue, and if so, how did you get around the problem.

Thanks

Going by your profile, I assume you have a 1979 Spitfire. Supposedly around FM80001, the valve cover hold-down changed from nylocs and washers to a nut with a slotted head; at the same time, the rocker cover studs were likely shortened. My guess is that you could get a pair of the earlier, taller rocker cover studs -- Stanpart number 105123 or Moss number 328-675 -- which should be taller and accommodate the nuts for your new valve cover.

Thanks Andrew, I can always count on you to give me sound advice.
By the way had a nice first real drive today, seems the more I drive, the better she runs.

Scott from Team Triumph in Warren Ohio does it again!
Took Andrews advice and Scott had just what I needed. God I love this hobby!

For any of you in the NE Ohio, or NE US area and are looking for most anything Triumph or MG you have to look up Team Triumph. If he does not have it, he will know who does and point you in the right direction.
