New Twist on [!!SPAM]

Sunday morning I couldn't get on the BCF - all I got was that web site with the girl's photo...I dumped everything & tried typing the BCF's name in my request line...nothing worked...talked with Basil & he explained how somebody is co-opting a router along the way & redirecting requests to a bogus site.

I was traveling all day & when I settled in for the night, I noticed my email wasn't working & that the time it stopped was around the last time I tried to get to the BCF earlier in the morning. So this am I called my server....there were 15,000 spam emails clogging the system.

None had bodies.....all were simply blank attempts that boldly stated [!!SPAM] in the subject & nothing more!

Wonder if the 2 (the BCF redirect & my unique spam email problem) are related?

I do know that the American Road forum had been hit by someone sending out about 25 blank emails to each forum member early Sunday morning. I don't know if they found their breech yet.

According to the information gathered from the deceased family particulars through thorough investigations, you are proven/traced to be their extended relative (Descendant), hence i have contacted you and have brought this tragedy event to your notice.

Your late descendant, was an international investor/consultant with the Federal Government of Togo, who owns GOGF-XPAC IMPORT AND EXPORT COMPANY and GOGF-XPAC CONSULTANT AGENCY in Accra Ghane and Lome Togo . He was a known and a recognized exporter of raw materials such as Gold dust etc and an importer of the community market demands (needs/wants) such as food items, clothing, automotive parts etc. He died in his house here in Lome - Togo located at 021 caise residence du tranger Lome Togo . He was Banking with UTB BANQUE TOGO and had a closing balance as at the end of September 2005 worth $19.7M (Nineteen Million Seven Hundred Thousand United States Dollars).The bank now expects the Next of Kin to come forward as beneficiary.

Efforts have been made by his bank here to get in touch with any of the Deceased extended Family or Relatives, but there have been no success. Now the management under the influence of the bank Chairman and Members of the Board of directors has made arrangement for the fund to be declared Unclaimed, so that the money can be forwarded to the government treasury account as unclaimed bills of which the bank directors will be compensated by the government for such a sole effort. In order to avert this negative development, it is my duty to contact you since your name was listed in his personal files that is with me, as to enable you come forward and stand as his assigned beneficiary next of kin for this claim.

All documents and proof to enable you get this fund will be legally obtained by me from our high court of justice. I have secured from the probate divisions of ministry here in our Ecowas high court of justice an order of Mandamus to locate any of the deceased beneficiaries, and more so i am assuring you that this claim is totally risk free.

Yep, get those all the time...if every one of them was true, I'd not have any living relatives....same with lotteries - I think I've won every one in the world!

But this new one that declares it's [!!SPAM] boldly in the subject & has no message whatsoever & floods a server seems a new twist.

Only because I dumped my cookies, temporary internet sites, history, etc.

Next time don't clear your cookies and see what happens. Once it hits anything from your ip is going to go to that stupid site for a period of time. I've had that on 3 of my internet accessing devices and then been able to get to to bcf via the browser in my phone.
