Just reading through the latest copy of Car and Driver. They cite a federal law passed last year that allows replI case of cars produced more than 25 years ago to be exempt from safety and crash test standards. They would have to meet emissions (modern engine) and you can make no more than 325. They also need to be licensed by the original manufacturer.
