I've got a 2007 Bonneville Black, bought from the dealer as a 1-year old demo model. I've got two riding season on it and just under 12k miles. Had a few issues with the brake master cylinder leaking right after I brought it home, but all solved under warranty.
It's a really good bike. Ridden it all over Utah, including quite a bit on dirt roads. Get about 150 miles on a tank before you start walking. One of the last true standards -- can do everything reasonably well. Wouldn't hesitate to ride it across country tomorrow (well, other than the fact that it's 34 degrees right now). Took it on 3 camping trips this past season, and innumerable runs over the local passes.
Best thing I can say is that after two seasons of riding I'm not interested in selling it (last two bikes only lasted one season each). I'll eventually move on to something else, but it'll be a while. If you told me this bike would have to see me out, I'd be content.
Folks do lots of modifications to these bikes, but I've only added a few brackets for soft luggage. I like it just fine as is. Fuel range is my only real issue, and that's just because I often wind up in the middle of southern Utah, miles from a town. Most normal folks wouldn't have this issue.
Feel free to post or PM me with any questions.
BTW: It's a nice mate for my '59 Bugeye as well.
