Hey Guys,
The seat in my 73 TR6 are less than good, would take a lot to rebuild. I just ordered two new seats from Victoria British for $999, complete. Does anyone out there have any comments on the quality of said seats. If not, I will report back on this subject in about a week. Hope I made a good deal. VB gives absolutely no info out about their products they sell, something about Kansas law. Have bought from them before and have been satisfied, return policy is good too.

Hey Bill,
Well I live 15 minutes from Vic British and was just up there today but if you would want I could go look at them even though i really don't know what I would be looking for. just an idea

Eric -

If you do go, I'm thinking about ordering their interior kit for the MGB I'm restoring. I'm interested in the biscuit-colored leather kit that includes the carpet set. The sale is on through Feb., so there's plenty of time.

If you can take a look at the kits and give an opinion, I'd be much obliged!

Appreciate it Eric,
I should get mine in this weekend so all I can do is open the box and return them if they aren't up to snuff. Will report back...

Hey Mickey
I bought my interior kit from Vic British for my tr6. Its the same kit. It comes with a manuel that helps out alot. My dad and I have put the seats together and i've put most of the carpet in myself. An extra set of hands is nice to have when trying ot put the seats together. I went to the an interior shop and got a 1/4 in. of extra foam to stick in my seats for extra padding. I think it is a task you can attack by yourself. Don't be afraid of it and if you have a question you can always ask someone on here or a local that would know what they are talking about. Any questions just ask.

Hey guys,
UPS just delivered my new seats for my TR6 from Victoria British. I have to say that I think I am impressed. NEW SEATS! No more patches, bumpy, unsightly seats. The quality looks ok, for the price. Can't wait to install them...

Alright, the rest of the story....
The new seats from Victoria British are a little tricky to install. The instructions say the stock front bolts will work but new rear bolt holes will need to be drilled. Well, one front bolt lines up (inner one) but had to drill new outer front hole, into frame, no less. Just used a heavy duty self threading body bolt (GM) and used 5/8 carriage bolts for the new rear holes along with body washers underneath, along with Nyloc nuts. A little challenging, but they look nice, are very comfy with good lateral support and a large headrest. The quality if good at best. Say they are made in England but I strongly suspect that they are of Asian manufacture. Oh well, so is my starter, rear brake drum and lots of other parts. Carry on...
