Leaving in 1 hour...have a 2 hour drive to pick up the new project. A 76 TR that is a 1 owner! Parked in the garage
in the mid 80's..sound body that is rust free. Will post
progress as we go along. Very much appreciate all the help
we get from this forum! Gil

That's exciting. Please post photos and let us see the "new" TR6.

Be sure to carefully check the usual rust areas, with lots of light and with the car up in the air.

Good luck!

Home safe and sound. Really is a nice car. No...as in none..
of the usual rust. Will start by getting the body off and see where we go from there. Gil

Lets go with the pics. It's been 5 hours since we heard from you Gil!!

Where in No. Cal are you Gil, and where was the car? And where are the pics?

No kidding Paul - I get Gil is out in the garage waxing her night now. Not that is an excuse for not posting pictures already!

Have been out in the garage...just standing there smiling!
Will have to find some help and show me how to post the pix!
Car is the burnt orange color...purchased from the original
owner...who probably parked it about 1985...we think it has
about 100K on it. Game plan...pull every bolt and nut apart.
Blast and paint the frame...and start from there. Will pull
the body panels off and take the whole body to the shop.
A couple very small dings...but no rust. Will be on the look for a surrey top for this ride...if someone knows where to find one...used...or new...here or from the suppliers in England. ..appreciate knowing who / where.
I live 100 miles North of SF...found the car via craigslist
in Napa (Wine Country). Thanks so much for the posts!
Paul...Love your car and web page! Gil

Gil,

PM me with your phone number.Maybe I can make it down your
way with our "new" MGB GT.I'm trying to think of an excuse to
go for an extended drive with the new toy.
I drove the TR6 around the block today (as well as the-
Cortina),to keep things going.

Check out Photobucket for free photo hosting. After uploading your pic, just copy the IMG name into your post, and Basil magically does the rest!
