We've just gotten the Lottery here in Tennessee, and still getting used to it.
One fellow found himself in pretty dire straits. His business had gone bust, and decided to ask for Divine help.
He prayed, "God, please help me. I've lost my business and if I don't get some serious money quick, I'm going to lose my house, too. Please let me win the lotto."
Lotto night comes, and somebody else wins it. He prays again, "God, please let me win. I've lost my business, my house, and now I'm going to lose my car, too."
Lotto night comes and still no luck. Once again, he prays, "My God, why have you forsaken me? I've lost my business, my house, and my car. My kids are starving. I don't often ask you for help, but I need you this time. PLEASE just let me win the lotto so I can get my life back in order."
Suddenly there is a blinding flash of light as the heavens open and the man is confronted by the voice of God Himself:
"Son, work with Me on this...Buy a ticket!"
