Hi, Everyone,I'm John. I live in South West France near Cognac. I have had Aston Martins for many years and now that I am in France (8 years)I have changed to historic rallies rather than racing. I have an Austin Healey 100 (1955)a Wolseley 1500 and an Austin A30. Also a Citroën Méhari.Have just come back from the Alpes, around Grenoble, after the rallye Neige et Glace.Used the Wolseley. It was great fun, although any chance of a good position was lost when I put the car off the road. It took ten minutes to dig out.
Anyone out there with similar interests?
John

Most of us do not live in France, but we surely share your interest!

Welcome to our community!

Welcome John:

You have a nice squadron of cars. My first car was an Austin A40 (similar to your A30) and those Méharis are neat little buggies.

I don't run in vintage/historic rallys but I enjoy vintage races such as THE HERSHEY VINTAGE HILLCLIMB and THE VANDERBILT CENTENNIAL EVENT .

I am hoping to enter the TARGA NEWFOUNDLAND vintage rally at some point (but entry fee is about $3000 USD, so that will have to wait).

Anyway, welcome!

Thanks for the welcome. I would like to post some pics but must say I didn't understand what to do. I am more at home with a spanner than a computer!!
John
