Hi, new member here from Wellandport Ontario Canada. Been messing with British cars since 1968ish, both as a hobby, and, full time with my own service/restoration shop. Back to being just a hobby now.

My main interest is Mini's, but, my daily summer driver is a 69 Vauxhall Viva.

Just yesterday, I started tidying up an Austin 1800 I bought in pieces about 3 years ago. I'm taking pics as I go, and, will do a thread in "Other". It's not going to be a restoration, just a clean up and re-paint, re-assembly. Motor is in pieces, but, all machining is done, and has new pistons already fitted to rods, and, came with all new parts and gasket kits.

All in all, it's in fairly decent shape.

Thanks. Look forward to enjoying the Forum.

Welcome!

And you're not alone as a Canadian with a '69 Viva.

Fellow member ~JPSmit~ also lives in Ontario and has one.
(and I see he has already commented on your car in "Other Cars").

By-the-by, I'm a former Mini owner and also used to live in Toronto.

G'luck with the Land-Crab!
