Hello All,

I just wanted to introduce myself to the Forum. I just purchased my 1st project car. I purchased a 1964 AH Sprite with as 1275cc Engine. I will post pics of my progress. Do you suggest I do it on this post or create a separate Thread?

Good news is car runs and seem in pretty good shape.

This is my 1st time doing any sort of project like this so any tips and tricks will be highly appreciated.

Just to give a rundown of what I have done so far.

1. Ripped out all interior ( carpets, seats, etc )
2. Removed Windshield
3. Removing all light
4. Making list of all parts needed for exterior.

Next step is to check engine fully, Check brakes and make sure car is running in tip-top shape. After this. I will remove engine and take to sand blasting to see how much metal will need to be welded and replaced. I do have a good friend who has done similar project before and is assisting and helping direct the project.

Thanks again and I look forward to talking with all of you on the forum.

I am close to completing a Mark One. The best advice I can offer is, as you dismantle take plenty of detailed photos. When you think you have enough take lots more! It is really frustrating when you try to remember exactly how the cars go together.

And catalog everything you take off and make a note of where you put it. I got myself a load of these and a load of the small self seal plastic bags of varying sizes, labelled them up and made a note (well spreadsheet - I'm a bit of a nerd) as to what went in which for when it all started going back together (still managed to lose some stuff though).
