new Tiger intro

I apologize for posting a question before introducing myself (I do appreciate the responses by the way).

I live in northern Illinois and purchased my Tiger in the spring of 2001 while on a business trip to LA. The car is a STOA authenticated 1965 Tiger MkI and was owned by the previous owner for 20 years. He had the major components rebuilt or replaced in 1994 (receipts came with car). The car turns heads everywhere and is a blast to drive. Well, was a blast to drive until a recent off-road experience. Someone who was stopped by the side of the road decided to perform a u-turn in front of me. I weighed the bodywork vs. suspension work question and decided to take it over the curb.

I hope to be back in action soon and look forward to participating in this forum and possibly meeting some fellow mid-west Tiger owners.

Boy! that lady that hit Basil really gets around.
Welcome to the forum. Remember, your car does'nt need to be running to post here. Long live Rootes Groop, Hillman was my first car.
