don't remind me of that white stuff - though today was gorgeous - tragically I had to work - though my sister & nephew & I went on a model railway tour - people opening their homes to show their work - some real craftsmanship there - though no coincidence that the nicest sets were all in retirement communities - time/ skill and deep enough pockets to make a proper job of it. Tomorrow is to be equally sunny and even though I also have to work, I hope to pull it out and get some good pics.
Kim, I like the "all over look too" - but it's easier when all you're doing is writing a check. - and actually it was easier for the guy too. That being said, there is 120 hours in the body (lots of furniture)and (I think he said) a gallon of clear on it since he knows classic car owners love to polish.
Mark, I plan to be at Missouri but I have a friend whom I'd love to see drive it in a parade early June. Anytime before that is gravy.
BTW, in addition to sanding smoothing, fixing the damage done by the media blasting and undoing all the previous welding, there was
filling the side signal light holes - (lights gone to Zimmy)
Chrome bumper conversion - including rolling the new front holes to match the jacking point holes
filling the fender signal light holes and drilling for B/E signals
fabricating front bumper brackets and rear bumper braces
repairing accident damage on rear by inserting new valance and replacing "bumps" under lights
little bit of actual rust body work
stitching up some tears in the metal where hooks were placed wrong during a tow or move
media blasting new hood and trunk and smoothing
I'm happy - broke but happy
