Sweet! Aren't you going to miss the big rubber bumpers?

Hmmm... now who is the nice lady standing in the door with her arms crossed?

Really nice!! Now all it needs is the shiny pieces and the vroom-vroom parts....

that would be the other - ahem - first woman. And the one who saw the bill and loves me anyway  though we are going furniture shopping

Lovely, just lovely.

Now that's what we're talking about. Very nice looking.

Very Nice ! wow now the fun begins !

Looking great JP. Now the fun just begins.

I guess I had better get a move on my car or you will be finished first. How long do you figure before you are on the road?

LOL! Yep, you might have to go furniture shopping too!

I remember I had an old boss that was really into boats. He used to say that the jewerly shops were always busiest the same week as the boat show!

But your car looks great man! Nothing like fresh paint to get you motivated! Putting it back together is definitely the fun part.

Yes, Yes But start off small with like an ottoman or something... this way when you done you may have moved up to a whole couch.... Dont give in too much too soon or it maight break the bank later

Yes be careful. If you get frustrated just walk away and have a beer or something and think it through. I put some scratches and things on mine and it is no fun. What year is that one. I love the all over inside and out full coat of paint, man. I should have done that with mine but I got fancy expensive paint and then I only got enough for the outside and tried to paint the inside as close to the original color as possible with rustoleum. I wish I had done like you, but with my knees I don't think I could have done it myself.

Looks real nice!!! Couldn't help but notice all the piles of white stuff outside too!! :eeek: Should photograph real nice with all that brightness outside to compliment her Old English White!!

don't remind me of that white stuff - though today was gorgeous - tragically I had to work - though my sister & nephew & I went on a model railway tour - people opening their homes to show their work - some real craftsmanship there - though no coincidence that the nicest sets were all in retirement communities - time/ skill and deep enough pockets to make a proper job of it. Tomorrow is to be equally sunny and even though I also have to work, I hope to pull it out and get some good pics.

Kim, I like the "all over look too" - but it's easier when all you're doing is writing a check. - and actually it was easier for the guy too. That being said, there is 120 hours in the body (lots of furniture)and (I think he said) a gallon of clear on it since he knows classic car owners love to polish.

Mark, I plan to be at Missouri but I have a friend whom I'd love to see drive it in a parade early June. Anytime before that is gravy.

BTW, in addition to sanding smoothing, fixing the damage done by the media blasting and undoing all the previous welding, there was

filling the side signal light holes - (lights gone to Zimmy)
Chrome bumper conversion - including rolling the new front holes to match the jacking point holes

filling the fender signal light holes and drilling for B/E signals

fabricating front bumper brackets and rear bumper braces

repairing accident damage on rear by inserting new valance and replacing "bumps" under lights

little bit of actual rust body work

stitching up some tears in the metal where hooks were placed wrong during a tow or move

media blasting new hood and trunk and smoothing

I'm happy - broke but happy
