New stuff!

Offline
I got my box of new stuff from Tony today. Wow, that new Hazard switch really stands out in the dash... Lets see, scuff the new one up to match everthing else, or a nut n bolt restoration? Hmmmmmmmm.

Thanks Tony. I'll need to do the brakes real soon. And the wipers work great! More rain later this week... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

& there's still a box of stuff here that you said not to ship...get those brakes fixed & get yourself up here!

Oh, tomorrow I'm playing with that pink wire!

Cool. Fix that pink wire... Might be up in about 2 weeks! Hopin' to drive her home! We'll probably come up in Julie's car though - unless I have the Toyota fixed by then (replacing head gaskets was not what I wanted to do with a $7000 truck I've only owned for a year)/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. I need to make another order for some suspension bushings and front wheel bearings soon also - I still have that wicked shimmy at 45+ mph. Are there replacement lights for the fan switch? I didn't know they were supposed to light up - I liked how the Hazard switch lit up! I also may need a turn signal switch assembly - mine doesn't work in the locked position, but only just before that... Maybe a cleaning of the contacts will help that though.

This is one BIG reason I'm getting the other car. I have lots of little problems to fix, and most of 'em will take the car off the road to fix 'em - even if for just a few days - or maybe I'll fall victim to the "might as wells" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. Plus, I like getting new cars! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Tony, the only schematics I have end at '79, kinda useless, as the legend is MIA and the print is too small to read. I doubt they changed much but I don't know. I'll scan this and PDF it if you think it'll help.

Thans, Doc...Kenny sent me one...I've just got to get it blown up

As an aside: If the heater fan is FUBAR it'll pop a fuse instantly when switched on too.

Drat, I wish I were closer.
