New Stag Owner

Greetings to all.
I have recently purchased a 72 (according to the title) Triumph Stag RHD with a Ford 302.
Not my first LBC! It all stated in 1973 with a 1962 Sunbeam Harrington Lemans my uncle had purchased new.
Other LBCs include: 1965 Spitfire, 1972 Midget, 1967 AH 3000, then a long break away from LBCs due to marriage and kids, then in 1997 I found a 1980 Spitfire, 80SpitBefore2 (442 x 298).jpgBefore After80Spit after5smpx (338 x 253).jpg80Spit after7r1 (338 x 253).jpg

I know this will probably upset the purists on this site. but I like to improve the cars in ways the designers would have liked to build them but were constrained by so many federal regulations and corporate budgets.
Next project: 72 Stag72stag1 (300 x 225).jpg72stag3 (300 x 225).jpg72stag6 (300 x 225).jpgBefore

Plan: 1973_triumph_stagmod7-smpx (512 x 336).jpgTriumph_stag_0708topdown-rearmod24qsmpx shd(512 x 384).jpg
Thanks for looking! any and all comments are welcome.
Cheers,
Dan

I love the Stag. Always remoned me of a big brother to the Spitfire (which I have). Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum Dan! If I read your post correctly, you've currently got a Spit and a Stag - that's a nice pair. Great job on the Spitfire resto, by the way! Can't wait to see the Stag after you've put your touches on it. Good luck!

Reid,
Nice Healey!! I love the 2 seat versions better.
Re: the Spitfire, I had to sell it a few years ago to cover bills while I was between jobs. :grief:
But it's got a good home the new owner took it to Stowe and told me everyone loved it!
Now I'm back on top and found the Stag, Spitfire's younger big brother!!

Welcome!
