Greetings from rural Nevada. Got my first Spitfire . . . 29,000 original miles (documented) . . . and no rust anywhere!

Too much fun!

Welcome! Looks like you snagged a nice one - and a hardtop, to boot.

Welcome, and nice looking car!

Thank you all for the kind words.

It's kind of weird to drive a 30+ year old British car that acts and drives like it is brand new. It came with the original radio, overdrive transmission, hard top and tonneau cover and all service records. The previous owner spent some time and money and effort to replace the suspension pieces that were there to meet the Federal Standard Bumper Height. The car is now 3 1/2" lower than a stock 1975. Even the emission controls are in place. Time to carefully remove the smog pump and all the hardware. Wish I knew how to remove the rubber bumper protrusions.

Really looking forward to the forum's help with any issues. But in my experiences with previous TR3s in the 1960 era I'm not expecting any reliability issues.

I also don't know what the abbreviation "lbc" means.

"Little British Car"

Just one of the requisite quirks in the language that comes with ownership of these little beasties!

Another "quirk" is the incurable disease --- "LBCitis",which afflicts each one of us. :jester:

Welcome to the Asylum.

Stuart.

Very nice looking Spit. The bumper overriders come off with a single bolt but then you have ugly frame protrusions. Rimmer Bros. sells the smaller euro style ones. The rear bumper junk comes right off too and there is a nice looking bumper under it you just need some chrome bumper bolts to fill the holes. Make sure to keep all the original stuff though.
