Hi, I'm Stephen and recently bought a so-so 78 Spitfire. Seems like a good group here (was lurking for a while) and look ahead for a lot of dumb questions about this car (it runs and drives, but needs a lot of attention)

I was having trouble registering here, so I e-mail admin. basil asked me for my phone number and was kind enough to call me (long distance) and talked me through getting registered. I know enough about computers to be dangerous. Not many forum admins would do that so thanx again, sir.

Hi Stephen, welcome aboard, glad to have you here.

Yes, Basil is a gem of a webmaster, he's always willing to help, and his attitude is reflected in the forum itself.

Where in the midwest are you? There are quite a few members scattered around those parts.......me included.

Make yourself at home, ask away, and maybe make a post in the Triumph section and say "Hi", they will be happy to welcome you.

Howdy Stephen;

This is a "Welcome Wagon" from the Pocono Mtns of PA:

You most assuradly have found the "DEFINITIVE" place to park your Spit /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif, thoughts /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif , comments, questions /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif and whatever else may turn you on:

Make yourself known in the Triumph section; as this is probably the most active, knowledgable, friendly and ready to assist yourself with whatever your needs may be: /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Regards and Best Wishes;

Welcome Stephen. I too own a spit that is all in pieces at the moment. This place has helped me solve many issues. The people here are great and the boss (Basil) is beyond comparison. I think you will enjoy it here. For lighted hearted fun or serious chit chat consider joining us in the live chat room also.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum! Good luck with your Trimuph, there's a lot of knowledge here, don't hesitate to ask your questions.
