Many of you know, I'm distributor for Superlite wheels, and now we're now making our own wheels, VTO Classic 8s, they come ion black and silver centers. Anyway I just got my set of the new wheels and got them on my 67 GT with some now sportier rubber, thought you would enjoy seeing it.

How 'bout a side shot of the entire car, Hap?

Tony, it was overcast that day, so the lighting is crappy, but here ya go.

Are those 15", Hap?

Will you be doing 16"?

I got to see the wheels today! They look great. The finish is fantastic. The outer polished edge looks like a old school wheel the has just been polished with Mothers wheel polish even with the clearcoat on them! Way to go Hap! Bob

Very nice, Hap. I like the dark wheels on the white car. Tunebug may get a similar treatment some day.

Hap,

Nice wheels.I was looking thru club websites,&
noticed your GT on your local one.Nice car!

I'm not really a fan of the fastbacks but your car looks the business.

Boy, Quick, with that wheel turned as it is, it sure looks out of center, doesn't it.....nice looking car.

Its probably because of the offset being horrable. Probably steers very hard compared to wheels with the correct offset. Looks good just not going to be good on the front wheel bearings. Bob

Probably a picture angle, it fit's well and I love it.

PS: Steers fantastic and handles well. I've driven other MGBs.

Just out of curiosity, what size are those wheels & what is their offset?

I'll report back. The package was installed by PO.

PS: I hang my head in shame as a hobbyist because I don't know my tire size off the top of my head - sigh.

No No you're going at this backwards, you should be looking at the rest of us with disdain for not immediately knowing what size - you need to arrogantly assume that you should never have to memorize such a trivial piece of common knowledge that everyone should have at hand.

I picked my words very poorly. Big mistake on my part! I should have said that wheels that had alot of negative offset will cause that look or wheels that were very wide and had a offset closer to factory would also cause the wheels to look like that in a turn. I am also running wheels with the improper offset on some of my MGBs.(because I like them) Quicksilver-I was definately not trying to slam your car or wheels. Its not how things are done at this site or how I would normally do a post! Also as a tech point on steering effort I think 77 and newer MGBs had a reduced ratio steering rack and they would steer easier than a earlier car. Now i'll head back to the garage and get some work done. Bob

Oooooo...Ahhhhhh...slotted and drilled rotors. SWEET!

I'm still curious about the size & offset for my own purposes.

Tony, I assuming you are tlaking about the Snake, and wheels for it, before you buy be sure to cheack with me, i may have something on closeout I could make you a deal, maybe something in 15x7, 15x8 or even 16", we have blanks in stocks, so we can CNC drll different wheels for different bolt patterns. I just did a set for Bill Guzman for one his flared fender MGBs.
