MGB new project car 67 mgb

Re: new project car 67 mgb

How'd you paint it with the wires hangin out?

Re: new project car 67 mgb

Also I use a liquid masker to keep overspray off the bits already installed. I was using a 3M product but found "Slime". Some use it to keep overspray off the paint booth but it also works great for the engine bay, underbody and suspension thats already installed. You still have to mask it off but it sure saves clay bar work when that nasty overspray creeps under the masking paper. It cleans up with water. The 3m product was corrosive if left on for long periods of time and this stuff may be the same. You can pull it off like bad sunburned skin but water is a easier cleanup. bob

Bill, Good to hear from you! This one will probably stay around for a while because of the amount of bucks I will have in it. Sticker shock for sure on this one. Maybe we'll get to the SBMOC meeting this month. Bob

Re: new project car 67 mgb

I hope to make it too. My grandson has his 1st birthday this weekend, but its later in the day.

The 67s are my favorite year. I test drove one way back when I was in college and it has stuck with me all these years.

Re: new project car 67 mgb

I have gotten very lazy on this project. Here are a few quick shots. Bob

Nothing there looks lazy, Bob.

Re: new project car 67 mgb

What's the relay next to the heater box for?

And another stunning job, BTW.

Re: new project car 67 mgb

Ever notice how Bob's lazy embarrasses the rest of us?
That is another beautiful car.

:savewave:

Re: new project car 67 mgb

Doc, Thats the overdrive relay. The vacuum switch is below it but hidden at the pic angle. I had the "overdrive Relay" decal reproduced. Bob

Re: new project car 67 mgb

Re: new project car 67 mgb

Here is a update on the 67 project car. I have taken some time away from the car. The engine is built, carbs almost finished, exhaust just needs 2 more clamps, and the dash is wired. Seats are done but not installed yet. I guess its time to get back at it. Bob

Re: new project car 67 mgb

Boy that looks nice. Makes me want to tear my engine bay apart and get it sorted and painted (its currently in DPO black).
