Also understand that NOS (new old stock) parts will in general be better to replace your worn parts with.

Unless of course they have "rubber" in them; or are "NOS" because someone put them back on the shelf after discovering they were defective.

Welcome, as well! If you have the time, it'll be a great resource to go back to the archives, and just look at all the TR3 Q&A's. After a couple of evenings, you'll know a lot more about your little car, (and life in general)!

Too, you'll quickly find out what a great community Basil has started, and get a feeling for all the <s>nut</s>s fine folks here. After I owned my '59 for a couple years, I picked up a TR6; flipping thru the archives answered a lot of questions pretty quickly...

When you get a chance, post some pix, and the commission number: TS 50XXX. A digital camera with a multi-gig card will be your new best friend.

This item is currently in stock at TRF for over $100 LESS than it sold for. The seller even posted a lovely photo of the TRF label, so there was no confusion in my mind that this one was NOT rare NOS.

Yup, I see that a lot. Comparing the 'tools' auctions to the latest Harbor Freight sale flyer is entertaining ... I'll swear those people don't actually buy the stuff from HF until someone bids on the auction.

At least in this case, the seller's description was perfectly honest, though.
