Hello, I am a new member from the hilly heart of WV.
I am a semi-retired (though some would say retarded) cinematographer, who now works for the Cass Scenic Railroad repairing steam engines for fun and ultra-minimal profit.
This is like working on 160 ton BL cars. My main bearings weigh 60 lbs. per half!
Formerly a Television Engineer, which means I can get coffee with the best of them. And fake my way around a schematic.
I have my second TR-6: A Damson '71 with 67K miles.
The prior establishment was a '69 with 72K miles when I got it and 247K when I sold it...
If you are ever in this neck of the woods there are some great roads around, and cool things to do and see.
I do quite a bit of astronomy (excellent skies here!) and to fully understand the madness the TR is the oldest of three cars in the family. But by only 9 years...
My handle is amcboy, because that is what it always has-been... I sold the '69 to get a '70 AMX and have had Americas' other sports car until now... With gas soooo expensive the old 401 in the AMX was simply too expensive.
I got the TR to relive my (misspent) youth, and to still afford to have motoring fun. Believe it or not, there is a better supply of TR parts than AMCs...
Anyhow from roadracing unpopular AMCs to electronics gone silly I hope to at leat contribute timley and remotely useful information,
