After looking around for the last 5 years I finally found a Bugeye in my neck of the woods. I brought it home this weekend and I'm trying to figure her out. She has a slightly modified 1275 as well as the original 948 in a box, a smooth and rib case transmission, many extra parts, and a fair paint job. The hydraulics are not working yet and she spits oil out of the rear seal at idle, less with the oil filler cap off, but keeps a constant 45 psi. She leaks a little coolant around the cap, but doesn't overheat and sounds eager to go. I've got plenty of pictures, but for the life of me can't figure out how to post them. I look forward to being a member and can't wait to get her on the road.
Regards, Rut

Welcome, and congrats on the Bugeye purchase! It must be spring, cars are finding new owners all over the place.

Bugeye with a 1275 is a nice ride (though I may be a bit biased, as that's what I have too). Ask any questions you may have, we're here to help.

welcome Rut - you're in the right place.

2. ways to post

a) give a link to flickr or some such thing (easiest)

b) If you hit reply (or quote) you will see file manager below the text box. click and follow instructions. NOTE pics have to be smaller than 100k. to work. Non members can post one at a time. As a silver member (me) I can do 6 in one post and (I think 150k per pic)

welcome!

Thanks for the assistance, but my files must be too large and I have no idea what a flickr is. I am computer challenged to say the least! I'll figure it out one day.
Rut

I Googled Flickr and registered with yahoo, et al, so I should be good to go, now I have to figure out how to link to what I just registered for!

Welcome aboard!

You probably have a program on your computer called Paint. Paint makes resizing a snap.

Flickr is a photo hosting site. https://www.flickr.com

I am also computer challenged, and I could not get the resizing thing in paint....I use Photobucket, they resize and whatever automatically.

Thanks everyone for your help. I've uploaded 6 pictures to Flickr and I've made them available to the general public, but I don't know how to link to them to this forum. I'm still trying...

In Paint go to Image then Stretch/Skew. I usually do 40% in each direction.

Ray, now you got me...I'm still trying to do the Flickr thing. Is this the way you resize for attaching pictures?
Thanks, Rut

Rut,

Hit Reply
Switch to Advanced Editor, if necessary
Select the 4th button ("Enter an image")
Select "non floating image" from the pop up
A box should pop up in which you then paste your link to flickr

Cheers

Glad to hear from a fellow Austin-Healey Mk1 Sprite owner.
Special little cars.

Can't see your pics...
Probably me... :jester:

Back to the drawing board! I tried it on a different site and it worked great...thought I was on to something. I'll try again later...
Thanks, Rut
