I am new to the forum.I am Kelly Brickey, currently living in Boise, Idaho and relocating to Mountainair, New Mexico in March I have a 1958 Morris Minor 1000 2 door saloon. It finally looks pretty good, but still needs a lot of work. Hoping to replace the 948 with something a bit more powerful soon... I can't wait to drive "Morty" 1100 miles. Here's a link...

Oops, almost forgot! I also drive a 1998 Land Rover Discovery. Mostly this vehicle is fantastic, but it does make me appreciate the simplicity of the Morris wiring!

Yes, I am contemplating an 1100 mile drive in the Minor. If I can find enough 2 lane. It is not a freeway car!
I will be close enough to Basil to be a real pain!
The photo at Falling water was taken on a big Frank Lloyd wright pilgrimage in 2006. The house we intend to build in NM is being designed by our architect and friend John Durham, a former student at Taliesin, and will be Wright-esque (hopefully without the leaks!)
 
So what is bringing you to the booming metropolis of Mountainair (pop. 38)??
 
My partner and I bought 20 acres at Deer Canyon Preserve(dcpreserve.com), and are planning to build a Usonian-style house (Frank Lloyd Wright-ish) there.Perspectives here:

I am a piano tuner, and the Boise school district is whining about me leaving before school is out for the year, so maybe the end of May.
Now if only the garage fairy will wave a wand and give me a four-bay workshop...

Looks like your guy knows that from the cantilever'd overhang on that open space! :thumbsup:

And that 24 foot cantilever is the roof of the carport. He assures us it is engineered to withstand a 160 mph wind. We hope so.
