Hi, I'm new here. I have several cars. My most recent find is a 59 Bugeye or Frogeye. I was driving to my sisters about 70 miles from my home and I looked to one side as I'm always doing looking for new projects and God was smiling down. There sitting in a barnyard, yes I said "barnyard" was this little car. I drove about 2 miles before it dawned on me what I had just seen. I immediately spun around my car and went back. At the farm house I talked to a charming lady who told me that she was certain her son wanted to sell the car and gave me his cell phone number. I called him late that evening and holding my breath asked about the car and he confirmed that he would sell it for $100 dollars. I was speechless! I didn't argue about the price and was frantically trying to figure out how to put a hundred dollar bill through my cell phone to seal the deal. The car was in sad shape but was complete except no radiator. I hauled the car home and have been working on it since. My bodyman and paint man who I've trusted for years recently had a heart attack so when he looked at the car and he declined and suggested that if I got it to the point of paint he would be happy to shoot the car for me. So I'm almost to that point. It's looking good but lot's to do. I'll post some pics soon. I also have a 76 Spitfire and a recently aquired TR7 Spider a Bradley GT electric and a Porsche 911 that I've restored. I think the Bugeye will be my favorite. I can't wait.

Welcome, again, John.

You'll probably see more Sprite feedback in the "Spridget" (Sprite/Midget)section of British Car Forum. Most of the folks here have big Healeys (nothing wrong with that of course).

I'm looking at a ratty, semi-abandoned Bugeye as we speak...crossing my fingers!

Ha, I thought you meant your paint guy had a heart attack after seeing your Bugeye.

Just kidding.
Great assortment of toys, you must be single?
Just kidding, just kidding.
Welcome to the forum, looking forward to seeing the car. Be nice to see a "Before" picture?

As a suggestion, might consider joining one of the Austin Healey clubs.
