Hey Group, Edwado47 just joined, hoping to buy a 66-67 TR-4A sometime next year, doing a little
duediligence prior to purchase. I hope to pick up some tips on what to look for and a mechanic that knows British cars.

Hi, and welcome to the British Car Forum! You'll like it here... If you go in to the Triumph Forum and introduce yourself I'm sure you'll be able to find the information you're looking for. Jump in, none of us bite! :-D

Welcome Edwado47! Two pieces of free advice:

First, join your nearest Triumph club(s) as they are often a good source of information on cars for sale, and member-owned cars tend to be better than non-member-owned cars - at least in my experience.

Second, buy the best car you can afford because the costs to bring the car to the condition you most likely desire will be more than buying a car from someone who already did the expensive work.

Good luck.
