I wouldn't disagree with any of the guys here. I don't know Tom although I bought a brand new TR-7 in Memphis in 1977?. I have a lot of relatives in and around there and will check him out on my next visit. Sounds like a great guy to get to know. But, I do know a restoration shop in the Dallas area that is very good. They have four ex-MG dealer mechanics and 2 dealer Jaguar mechanics, plus a 15+ years as mechanics on Truimph (also at dealers when there were dealers). They're a little closer and I have seen at least a dozen of their ground up restorations plus I own one of their cars. Check out www.sportscarwarehouse.com
They are in Arlington Texas... Between Dallas and Ft. Worth. Very knowledgable and very helpful...and affordable.
PS several of the guys ARE British.
Steve
Thanks Steven, That is a little closer,I'll check them out also. Anyone else want to put in a plug for their favorite lbc engine rebuilders. I'm all ears!
Tony, How much would the best one in your collection set a guy back. Also do you have any vent window assemblies in chrome without cracked welds or frame?
jv...shipping to Utah will be via truck freight & will run about $175 plus my cost...&, yes I have the vent windows...I'd send you an email with prices if I had it...prefer not to violate Basil's policy on selling on the BBS
