Hi all,

In the last year I've moved to Utah from the UK, and I'm shipping over my mkII Escort. Found these forums from the British Motor Club of Utah website. I was hoping to have her here by now, but the paperwork is quite daunting!

Anyway, I've owned this mkII for a few years now. It's been taken apart and put back together over the last year or so, with a fresh 1700 x/flow on twin 40's, 3J Driveline LSD, custom suspension all round, brake upgrades, bodywork fixes, roll cage, etc. It's a lot of fun to drive...

I've been searching around for any other Euro Escorts - they seem to be very rare, but would love to find some others over here.

Anyway, I wanted to say hi instead of lurking  Anyone else from Utah?

Dave.

Dave, welcome! Love the English Fords, they're pretty rare around these parts.

And a big welcome to Utah. :encouragement: We've got a great group of British car folks here (I'm the webmaster for the British Motor Club of Utah, glad you found that site and this one). Our next gathering is our planning meeting/potluck dinner on February 6. Come on out if you can and meet everyone. Send an email to our membership guy (membership@bmcutah.org) and we'll get you on our email list. I do keep the website updated with what we've got going on as well. The group is super low key and a really fun bunch of folks.

David,

Glad to see you here - I've seen your posts on the ENFOstuff forums.

Hi, and welcome to the BCF!

Thanks for the welcome!

Drew, I will definitely be in touch once the car arrives! I came to the show you guys had downtown with the sprint circuit, it was a lot of fun. Looking forward to joining in more.

Thanks!

Dave.

Glad you made it to British Field Day. Don't be shy about coming out, even if your car isn't here yet. I've likely been on more events without my British cars than I have with them

Wish I could FIND an early Escort here. I've got a couple early Lotus twin-cam engines that could use a new home. :smirk:

Welcome aboard, David!
