STOP!! Never post your email address in open forums. Bots can "harvest" your email! If you must share your email use a Private Message or use the 
smilie in place of the real @

Many first-timers make their first post in the New Member Intro forum. And many get only one or two replies.
I'm betting that many new members don't know they're getting the replies.
Wonder if it's worthwhile, helping keep the new members involved, if they'd get an automatic notification email that someone has replied to their new member intro post. They probably don't know they can sign up for notification; being automatically "subscribed" to that first post might be a friendly gesture.
Email notification is probably the best, as most new members don't know about the PM system.
Just my two shekels.
