New Member Triumph TR3

hard to figure out this navigation tried posting picture This will be my last car to restore Many cars
 
Hi All back again I have a problem with Points NO spark Triumph TR3 61 I drove it in the shop Running good I desided to put points roter cap and plugs in it . Now I have no spark points open or closed I have 12 v at the wire that goes to the Dist When I hook it up to the Distributor I have nothing , If i lift the points up off the distributor plate with a paper under them so not to touch mettle I have power to the Points plate If I reconect the points Nothing Any idias I have tried everything I am thinking bad ground wire in the Distributor ? All help is needed

as this doesnt seem to have moved, if you post pictures to show how you have connected the points it would help to solve your problem
If you are loosing the 12V when the points are connected i am asuming it is going to ground through the distributor,
if left switched on does the coil get hot ?

Thank you for your input Its been a wile since I posted Need to lern how to use the forum Lost a lot of parts in our big fire including my house and 4 cars Did save the tr3 so now working on it again
