Hello all!

I am a new member of this forum and a new member to the passion of British sport cars.

I just picked up a 1959 Frogeye and couldn't be happier, what a car! It's a 2 owner California "survivor", light refresh/resto in the 1980's, wears British Racing Green.

I am currently taking it to full originality (has electric fuel pump, oil filter upgrade, heater vent air flap removed).

I am currently searching for an original heater flap, between the blower and box (my original blower switch was brought back to life, thankfully, and the blower works!). I'll check the classified's here...

What a great new world I have joined! Looking forward to much fun and learning!

I also own a 1987 Turbo-T Buick, but in the words of the Python's "Now, time for something completely different".

Thanks!

Welcome aboard!
I think the frogeyes live in the spridget forum, but feel free to read and post anywhere. We are all friendly. :yesnod:
I always scan the "active topics" to see what looks interesting.

Hi There Turbofrog,

"Welcome" to "THEE" best "LBC" (Little British Cars) forum anywhere; but, You already know that.

I recently sold my `59 Frogeye (I personally prefer that term over "Bugeye"). It was a fun little car to play with.

I used to visit Farmington Hills on reg. basis when I worked for "NGK Spark Plugs". They were located on "Country Club Road" (Don`t let the street name fool you). Its not a "Country Club" for those reading this post. Whats the latest on all the road construction that was going on that area?

Best Wishes with Your "Frog" & remember to post a pic or two in the "Spridget" Forum as we all "LOVE" pics.

Regards, Russ

Hi Russ, yeah, I know what you mean about "Country Club Road"!!

Nissan is headquartered there now, along with several other companies. I work for Bosch, right next to Country Club Road/Complex.

Not much road work in that immediate area, but the freeways are all receiving their "band aids".

I really love wrenching on the Frogeye, and may sell my Turbo Buick to buy another LBC!! Do you own a Triumph?? Or...

What do you think is the best LBC for the buck? I'm currently looking at Triumphs.

Thanks! Craig

Hi Craig,

Yes; I`m in process of a Body-Off on a `57TR3 Small Mouth. Hopefully & Should be on the road by March, 2011.

"Whats the best LBC for the Buck"? That all depends on what your referring to; "Resale Value", Initial Cost of a Project or one that is a nice driver etc etc. TR2,3,3A,4,4A & 250s are appreciating very rapidly but your going to have to pay a pretty good buck for a decent (As little rust as possible) for one of those. In my opinion; The "TR6" is probably where you`ll get the "Biggest Bang for Your Buck". Of course; The "Chrome Bumper" TR6s (Up to `73) bring the bigger $$$ over the "Rubber Bumper" ones.

Then there is always an "MGB" which you can get for a very reasonable $$$.

Check out Ebay, Hemmings, 6 Pack etc & you should find some int. comparisons as to what you can buy for "X" dollars.

Have fun shopping & "HAPPY THANKSGIVING".

Russ

Hello, and welcome to the Forum! :savewave:

Greetings from another Michigander with a Healey addiction- Maybe see you out on the road this Spring. It's OK to fantasize about Spring, isn't it?
Nice country roads out this way, stay in touch.
