Hello, i joined this forum because i'm looking for a big healey and found a nice restotation project but it's without papers and a wrong chassis number on the plate on the firewall. But if this one doesn't going to be my car, an other one will.
Finished my E-type a couple of years ago but had more fun in restoring the E-type then driving it. So yesterday i sold the jaguar :grey:, and looking for a restoration project again.
For those interested in the E-type here are some pictures, http://www.xkedata.com/cars/detail/?car=1R40749

Kind regards, Rolf

Welcome to the forum, Rolf! When you find that big Healey project you'll find lots of help from the folks who are Healey nuts here!

We found that the vin 38947 is the correct vin, it matches with the body and gearbox numbers. The engine looks like it is not the originl one but that should be no problem. Now we have to check with the dutch authorities if they will give the car a dutch registration. Fingers crossed.

Good luck on the registration! Keep us posted (and be sure to pop into our Austin Healey forum here too and say hello there)
