Hello all,

I am a previous MG guy having owned a Midget, TD MKII, MGA and MGC-GT and now embark down the AH path with a 1961 AH Sprite. I have one that's been in a garage for 25 years and would like to get it going again. I'm looking for a shop to start the mechanical work and then perhaps do some cosmetics as I go along. I live in St Lucie and can't seem to find a shop in the area. Tried to contact Treasure Coast Classics, but can't get a return call. Willing to take it somewhere in Florida if anyone has suggestions or recommendations.

Thanks

Hi and welcome! Gotta love a Sprite!

i am aware of Imagination Engineering in Orlando - and i feel like there is another Orlando shop as well. Good luck!

BTW depending on your skill level these are very simple cars and there is enough knowledge here for you to do the mechanical stuff (or most of it) on your own.

Welcome to the BCF Raineyg! It's not exactly in your backyard, but Paul of Tsikuris Classics (old friend o' mine) has a well-known and well-respected shop in Lakeland. He's a Healey guy for sure.

You might also want to attend the All British Field Meet & Autojumble in Safety Harbor on October 22. That's even further from your backyard, but you'll make lots of good contacts there. I'm flying to Florida from here in Portland, Oregon, for the event this year as it is the 30th annual and I am the founder of the event (in another life when I lived in Tampa). Hope to see you there!
