Hi there, want introduce myself
Restored all kinds of cars , german and british
German , 914, 914-6, 911, isetta , bmw 600,
British, mgb and berkeley ( yep odd ball)

Now doing a 69 subaru 360 van and conversion.

looking to buy parts, ideally locally , from midgets, mini or any other part reccomended to convert my van brakes to british parts

I am located near ottawa, ontario, canada , if you are a british car nut and want to help a fellow car nut, contact me

Welcome! I am probably your closest neighbour (Prince Edward County) Very oddball cars indeed! Not sure I can help you with sources but sure sounds like an interesting project - we would love to see pics!

Another thought for brakes might be from a Kei truck - Honda Acty or some such thing - shoot I suspect you could grab something off a side by side for all the stopping that a 360 van woiuld need. Good luck!

I taugh of kei truck parts, i even have a kei car to take them from at home, an autozam az1.
My big issue is wheel tire combo , the van originally has 10 inch wheels , kei cars and truck are usually on 13inch wheels and they dont fit , well they do fit but the wheels wont turn as they are all very wide and the archs are kinda too full,
The other smallest rotor on the market in canada are the rear rotors of 80's vw cabrio, 228 mm diameter, i could not find dimension for the midget rotor as they might fit

If i could fit mini rotor to the miget hub, that would be ideal , or i can shave the midget rotor down in diameter

The midget hub fit with no machining, just get new bearing with different inner diameter

Midget also has 13 inch wheels - I do have a set of rotors which I could measure and if they could work you are welcome to them. No calipers though.

Welcome to BCF! We have several members in your general area. Hope you find what you need for your "odd ball" collection.

Any measurements of the hubs and rotor of the midget would be very helpfull. Same for mini in case you have some.
That will help narrow down the list

minispares.com in the UK is my source for parts.
When you are sure of what you need, they are great, but as most company they list parts by car, not dimension, case and point , they purposely place all bearing with the number down so you cant cross reference it to buy locally, most company do that
