Hi, I bought a 1980 MGB at an estate auction in January. It has a solid body, new brakes, new exhaust, new tires and wheels, Mallory electronic ignition, fairly new radiator, a lot of new suspension components, a good interior, all the smog things have been removed. It will need a new convertible top. The previous owner had died last fall, and his daughter from out of state was selling everything he owned. So I didn't have a chance to talk to him about the history of the car. I put in a new battery so far, and it does turn over. A new fuel pump is on order . It has a Webber downdraft carb. Being 73 yrs old I have always been interested in these cars, so it will be just a hobby project to get it started, then maybe flip it on the antique car market.

yeah, Gallatin. i know a lawyer over there (Patti Garner) who used to live in my neighborhood here before she was a lawyer. you might google 'plateau british car club," its over there some where. there is a show in rugby tennessee every year in august. i usually try to get over for that.
