Hi There pagill;

Welcome to the wonderful world of "LBCs" on the "BCF" from the Pocono Mtns of PA.

Regards, Russ

Hi Russ,
Thanks for letting me know some one is out there. What is the weather like up there in the mountains? Must be nice place to drive in the better weather months.

I'm not sure what all of the initials meant in your email closing but I'm sure with time I'll get the hang of the language.

Ah, one of my favorite places in Alabama....I'm up near Huntsville on the other end of AL but much prefer the Dauphine Island area to Gulf Shores!!

Next time you look up & see a strange MG, it might just be me!

& is NanSea's Restaurant back up & running?

Hey pagill. Good to see another guy from the REAL SOUTH.. I'm 75 miles north of N.O.

Welcome aboard, pagill! As Kerry says, you'll get th' jest... and likely th' gist, too, shortly. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I'll start: With two right-hook cars, one each a 'rumph and an MG, you've one foot onna dock, one onna boat!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Again, WELCOME to the finest rescource on the 'net for support (for the cars AND the "affliction" caused by 'em)!

You'll be busier than the proverbial one-armed paper hanger keepin' up with what goes on here. ENJOY!

Hooking up with BCF in Alabama

Tony, Nice to k now others are not so far away. I'll welcome seeing a strange MG in the driveway. I too prefer Dauphin Island to the rest of the Alabama beach. We live about four miles north of Dauphin Island on another, lesser known island, Mon Louis Island. It is an island because Fowl River seperates it from the mainland. Bridges connect it to the rest of Mobile County as well as Dauphin Island. We can be ready for visitors in 30 seconds or less so go ahead, give in to your impulse and come on down.

Nan Seas has ceased operation in its original loocation. Katrina flood that area pretty badly. They are reopening in what used to be a catfish place farther in town, sort of out in west Mobile, near Providence Hospital. Fortunately for us we are at the wider part of the bay and while the water piled up in the more northerly parts of the bay, in Dog and Fowl Rivers, the water would have to have come up an additional 3 feet before getting to our home. Lots of clean up of debris in the yard and lots of dirt replacement but still a great to hang ones hat.

Thanks again for taking the time to extend an email. I look forwar4d to maintaining an open line of communication with my new fellow online enthusiasts.

Regards,
Peter

Hooking up with BCF in the south

Hey Poolboy,
Very nice look 6.

Thanks for extending the welcome. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you guys some time, some where. Our son lives in Mandeville so you're not so far away.

Will you be going to the thing in NOLA in March? Let me know so we can hook up and if you're ever over this way, please stop on down and we'll sit on the porch, look at the bay and sip on an adult beverage.

BTW, I still have the original fuel injected engine that came out of my 6. Any notion of how one might best go about making that fact known to would be buyers?

Regards,
Peter

Both feet going in different camps

DrE,
Thanks for the welcome. I suspected the old adage was true and had to test the hypothesis. With these two I can proclaim with certainity, with others I'm sure, that the reason the british auto makers did not make televisions is because they could not figure out how to make them leak oil; is a fact.

Regards,
Peter
