Folks,

Hi, just signed on here for the first time and am happy to have found another British car site ! My wife Patti and I have owned a 1979 MGB for just over two years now. We're no strangers to the small open car world as we've owned Miatas since 2001, first a used 1994 for two years after which we purchased and still own a 2005 model.

I'm not much of a mechanic and know just enough to get myself into trouble, that's why I have a mechanic perform all of the important work on the car. I can repair small stuff and with the help of on line enthusiasts I've managed to maintain the car at a reasonable level of drivability.

Welcome!

I spent a good deal of my childhood in Jackson, NJ not far from you.
I was actually in Colts Neck last weekend visiting some old college buddies (I'm in Morris County, NJ these days).

You may want to consider meeting up with the folks in Positive Earth Drivers Club.

The club actually meets in Farmingdale on the first Wednesday of the month at Woody’s Roadhouse Tavern, 105 Academy Street.

I know they help run a Cars and Coffee event on Saturdays in Shrewsbury.
