Thanks for hosting this forum. I had a Healey (63-BJ7) from 1966 through 1973. I drove that car over 120k miles all over California and back and forth from California to Newport RI twice. Eventually, heat got the better of me and I sold it (for $200 more than I'd originally paid) to buy a Datsun 240Z (which had air conditioning). But I always loved Healey's. I bought Gladys in 1991 (a BRG '67), fixed up all her running bits (engine, brakes, steering, etc.) and have driven her ever since. We shipped her to Europe during summer of 2001 and had the trip of a lifetime, touring with other Healey owners around much of western Europe. Since then we've enjoyed the car on trips in various parts of the eastern US and Canada. Recently, we've decided to try to give Gladys a full restoration. She has substantial rust and is definitely in need of a lot of work. Although Gladys has all her original parts (even 60 spoke wheels), we're going to go with tan upholstery/top and maybe air conditioning....I'm unsure about changes to the suspension, but maybe that too.

Thanks, we started building our house in Rockwood in 2011, and moved into the house in 2013. Since then we've done a small bit of touring, and a lot more "finishing" of the house. We visited Townsend during a SouthEast Classic about 12? yrs ago; and we will certainly be back (to drive the Dragon I'm sure) after we get Gladys back in shape. Do you have any Healey restorers to recommend in the area?
