After a wait of nearly 50 years I have finally bought my first British Classic a 1973 Triumph Tr6. As a small boy growing up in in Zambia i would watch my neighbours morning battle to start his Tr6 and have loved and wanted one ever since. I am still to find out a little more history of the car, it is the Left hand drive American model and am yet to make the decision whether I convert to RHD or not. For now its been cleaned and parked in the garage until after the Christmas season.

Welcome! great car - how is the availibility of parts in SA?

I think thats possibly my next problem, would imagine i would be sourcing from the UK
Welcome to BCF! You shouldn't have any trouble finding parts as long as you have internet and don't mind paying shipping costs.

Hi Swazi and welcome to the British Car Forum. You have good taste in Triumphs... I also own a 1973 TR6 and once it's sorted out it's a real fun car! You live in a beautiful part of the world. I have good friends in Mpumalanga and I have been to Nelspruit to visit.
As others have mentioned, check out Rimmer Brothers in the UK as a parts supplier.
Be sure to check into the Triumph section of the forum anytime you need help.
