Hi everyone,
Healey2 here and this is my first post as a member of the British Car Forum. I have been a long-time contributor to the Austin Healey Experience and a frequent commentor on Austin Healey 100s listed on BaT - Bring a Trailer.
I'm a 50+ year Austin Healey owner and restorer and currently own a Concours level restored '55 BN1 and a very original, 45K mile, rust free, Nevada Beige California '60 AN5 - Bugeye Sprite. The car is upgraded to 993cc vintage (1960s) performance specifications by Speedwell Engineering, and it's numbered original smoothcase gearbox upgraded with NOS ribcase gears by Dave Hubbard.
I've been a Concours judge since 1995 and a member of the AH Concours Registry Technical Committee. since 2001. I'm well versed in most subjects Austin Healey but specifically AH 100s, BN1/2s and "M" spec. cars as well as Bugeye Sprites.
As described above, I love originality, but I'll discreetly and tastefully modify my cars to make them perform and drive as reliably as possible. My motto as a Concours judge for decades... "If I can't see it, then I can't judge it, and I don't care. Drive your cars!"
