Greetings - Shopping for a TR6 while kind of sort of still looking at MGB's - with limited knowledge about either. Great to meet everyone. ~ Brent

Glad you are here - good luck in the search, and know that there are lots of good ones out there - so find the very best you can and don't be afraid to walk away from one - another will come by.

Feel free to ask many questions!

Either choice would be good! Good luck with your quest and welcome to BCF!

Brent, welcome to the BCF! You've come to the right place.

I have my favorite websites for looking at cars for sale, but I wonder where you've been looking.

Either car will be a good choice, although the additional power of the TR6 is definitely a bonus. I owned a nice one while stationed in the DC area between overseas assignments 20 years ago. Enjoyed it very much. Paid $10k and sold it for $10k.

Looking at Hemmings, Autotrader Classics, Ebay, etc. Being in AZ, we are definitely OUT of convertible weather until late September, so my plan is to learn what I can over the next few months with an eye to make a purchase in Sept/October.

Brent - that is indeed a good plan. Too many guys jump in with eyes closed. Like me back in 2004!

I had to chuckle when you said " we're out of convertible weather until late September". Here in New England, we're out of convertible weather from October through April. Something called "snow" ...

I've spent the last couple months learning about the MG T series, and hope to have one soon.

Best wishes,
Tom M.

Temps in the 100's for Phoenix as far as the eye can see ... . :encouragement:
