Hi Everyone
Restoring a 1965 Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe XKE. This has the 4.2 L engine. It is left hand drive. I have worked on Triumphs, MG's and TD's I have never worked on a Jaguar. My experience is largely confined to mechanical parts, not much body work. I started to learn about body work by reading "Automobile Sheet Metal repair" by Robert L. Sargent ( 2nd ed). I found this very useful for the beginner. Currently working on restoring the bonnet. I have stripped the metal of all undercoating paint and primer. The amount of dolly and hammer work was an eye opener, but the results are very satisfying. I will attempt to post regular updates about my progress.
