Hi, I am posting as the man is telling me to. I have a Triumph Tr2 long door and I am located in Adelaide, South Australia. I have had the car for about 18 years and have been rebuilding it for about the last 7. I have created a web site for the restoration as I was having difficulty in finding pictures on the web on how panels came apart and went together. As the web site shows the car looked good but soon realised it was a body filler sculpture when I start to work on it and became aware of just what had been done to the body. I have limited funds so the finished result hopefully will look the part but given my skill limitations I realise it will not be a concourse car. After a few trials and tribulations on many fronts I am hoping we are driving by summer next year (which is December down under of course!!).

Hi Colin- Welcome to the British Car Forum. You will find lots of friendly and informative help here whenever you need it. I just had a look at your website and can see you are making lots of progress. I too did a frame-off of my TR6 and did everything myself except paint the body. Keep plugging away and you will have your car on the road before you know it.
You might also start posting in the Triumph section of the British Car Forum and include the link to your website for those who don't see it in the New Members section.

Thanks for the tips. I know Kilmartin sheet metal well as I lived about 5km's (4 miles) from their factory until I moved back to Adelaide about 3 years ago. I have bought many parts from them and found them to have the best quality product.

Also an amazing shed with some great cars in process

I got TR3 seat pans from them and was very pleased with their parts and service. The pans looked exactly like the original except no rust.
