I use Aero as my name here, short for Aerographer's Mate (Weather Guesser) of the US Navy, served on Active Duty from
64-69, also served the the Coast Guard Reserve from 79-89, and Retired from Navy Reserve in 96'. Also Retired from the National Weather Service in 03'. Now working part-time at a Air Traffic Control Tower in Eastern Washinton USA.

My first introduction to British Cars was while I served in Western Australia twice for 7 months on two different mini tours of duty to Perth and Northwest Cape.

My Bird in Perth drove a Mini Cooper and showed me all of Southwestern AU in it.. While at Northwest Cape I bought a British Austin Champ (Jeep type Military vehicle) with snorkel. Had losts of fun chaseing Kangaroos around the Outback in my off-time. Camping on Wilderness Outback beaches that could only be reached by a 4x4.

My strangest experience in AU was camping on one of those isolated beaches with a few other blokes and wakeing up at 2 AM in the morning to a drove of hundreds of Soft Shelled Yellow Crabs coming out of the Indian Ocean and climbing up on to our sleeping bags and pinching on our ears! We tried to scare them off by smashing several Crabs with drift woods sticks to no avail. We finally started a fire and all of the very strange looking crabs with two verticle antenna with a revolving black eye turned around and went back into the Sea.

My most recent experience with Austin Healy's Sprite is with buying two chromed mesh headlight covers that just happen to fit my Toyota FJ Cruiser's headlight fairly well, haven't fell off in 5 years now.

Am currently looking to buy a Mini Cooper, when I find the right one.

Hope I am welcome here, this looks like my kind of forum.

Of course you are welcome!

Howdy Aero,

"Welcome" to "THEE" best LBC site anywhere on the planet but you already know that.

I`m sure your "Mini" will come along. What year, cond. etc are you looking for? There just may be someone on board here who has one to sell or know of one for sale.

Enjoy the Ride,
