Hi,
My name is Doug and I own the Kind Coffee Company in Syracuse,NY. Its a small coffee roasting shop.
Over the summer I purchased a 1975 MG Midget from another member...Blkcorvair. If you do not know the car, it is a race prepared (Triumph 1500 Engine and Transmission) '75 Midget with Sprigetech bodywork. I plan to take it to Watkins Glen for some track days and driver's schools as well as to Autocross the car locally, maybe even a Hillclimb or two in the future. It is a well sorted car and a blast to drive.
I am installing a Braille Battery soon to replace the current Marine-cased lead acid battery and this will make room to install another race seat in the passenger position. He told me that you're all a great bunch of guys. I am looking forward to the good conversation and info exchange.

I was an owner in a coffee Business in Santa Fe and Albuquerque hence
the name " Baba Kahawa "
Your a lucky man to be close to Watkins Glen.
Nothing quite like that down here.
You will get great car tech talk here along with a little roasting. LOL

Actually, anyone who is a member of this forum is welcome to stop by for a free cup of coffee any time they like. I don't sell the beans past a day old and I use a quarter pound of coffee for a pot.Coffee like yer Grandpa drank.

Glad to see you here. Welcome from the "Coffee Loving" Canadian crew.
I'm about 4-5 hours west of you on the north shore of Lake Erie.
I sometimes get through Syracuse on my way to Eastern Canada.
Being a true coffee addict (see Tim Hortons) I may look you up.
I'm jealous of your proximity to Watkins Glen and Mosport.

My first car was a '71 MGB when I was 16. My older brother had bought a '70 Triumph Spitfire and after seeing that I was hooked. The car cost me 650 dollars and I drove it home. A few days later I picked at a little edge on the fender and discovered the previous owner had simply aluminum taped the very rusty fenders and rockers and then bondo and some paint. I puilled off all the tape in a fit and stuffed the car in the garage for the winter. By spring when I opened the door I didnt care about the bad body job and fell in love with it all over again. I pu tin a driver floor,rockers and fender repairs as wel lFrom there...the list bounces from car to car... to be precise...
