In 1973 I purchased a new Damask Red MGB Tourer and loved it. My wife and I drove it from Salt Lake City to San Francisco on our sunburned honeymoon in 1975. We sold it for a down payment on a home in 1976. In 1977 we purchased a non-running, BRG/rust MGBGT. It took a little work from my friendly neighborhood MG mechanic to get it running (that's a story for another day). Drove the GT for two years and then put it in the garage. It sat in the garage for 10 years then we sold it to a restorer. My wife and have always wanted another MG. We have had a succession of Mazda MX-5's and currently have a 2004 MazdaSpeed MX-5 as my daily driver. We recently found a 1974.5 chrome bumper MGB almost identical to the 1973 except no overdrive. I'm not much of a mechanic (I have however done brakes, timing belts, water pumps, radiators on the MX-5's) Looking forward to learning and relearning about how to maintain and care for the current MGB. I appreciate the resources available on this forum and am looking forward to new friends and experiences!

Welcome, David!

We've a pretty good contingent of MGB fanatics here, ready and willing to offer any advice and commiseration you might want. Camaraderie here on the BCF is great, so mosey on over to the MG side and post away.

Mickey
