Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!

I'm one of the founding members of {link deleted}, I have a great love of British cars, and I'm about to take ownership of a 1988 Austin Montego Vanden CLASS 2.0 Efi Auto, from another of our founding members, and a member here, I believe, Droitwich Lloyd.

I'm sure I'll be made welcome on Britcars, as I am also sure there'll be people here who know me from either Keith Adams' Austin Rover forum, or from MacDroitwich.

Now, someone crack open the Gordons, I like mine with tonic and a pile of ice /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thirsty.gif

Craig I'm sorry but I deleted the link you posted because soon after you posted it, I started getting undeliverable emails as if my server has started sending out SPAM. Also members have since been complaining of teh server being slow. I am not certain there is a connection, but I felt it safest to delete that link since it correlates very closely to when I started having the problems - at least until I can investigate further what is going on.

Craig,
Welcome to a friendly and informative forum - lots of info to be had here.
Will you have a twist with that Gordon's?

Fair enough - I assure you there is no foul play there but it's best to be on the safe side.

Also many thanks to Russ and Glenn for their warm welcomes too.

Twist of lime with the Gordons, if you please.

Also, here is a pic of the soon-to-be-mine Montego, appropriately named The Duchess.

Thanks for your understanding. Its noting personal, just trying to cover all the bases to figure out what's going on.

Cheers /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I'm very much looking forward to owning The Duchess.

wow, in all the places, i never expected to see a Montego here. looks nice and solid though. i see its wearing Brit number plates. were they sold in the states? they are extremely rare to be seen over here now as most have rotted away, good to see people keeping them on the road.
