Hello all. I recently inherited this LBC. It sat in a barn for 35 years with only an occasional start up. Body and interior are in good shape, though a fair amount of rust and rot underneath. First job was to vacuum out all the mouse nests and residue, amazing the engine does still run. Second job was to replace the front brake calipers and rear brake cylinders so I could move the car out of the barn. I had the generator rebuilt to fix the battery non-charging condition.

I am new to these British cars but love working on mechanical (not so much electrical) stuff. Most of my experience has been on motorcycles, I just finished a complete rebuild of my '72 BMW R75/5. My short-term goal with the Healey is to get it in good operating condition, then maybe a more thorough restoration in the future. I'm happy to have joined this forum as I've found the wisdom and advice of more experienced folks is invaluable with a new learning adventure such as this. IMG_5186.JPG

Good to have you with us. Lucky man to inherit that AH!

Say, do you have a shop manual, or owner's manual, for the car? They're pretty helpful, especially when bringing it out of the dust and getting back on the road.

Post your questions, (and more photos), in the AH forum -

Thanks all for the welcomes. I do have a Haynes manual (1974 edition). I will definitely be posting questions.
