Greetings all -
New to the forum here and thought I would say hi. I currently only own one Brit car, a 1957 MGA #41, known on the WC as "The Pile". Have raced for over 25 years and moved to vintage some 10 years ago. I've been lucky enough to run the Monterey HIstorics the past 3 years and last year was given the (Best Performing and Appearing Car) in my group. I have a business called Vintage 31 that builds vintage correct aluminum race seats that we have installed in cars all over the country. Looking forward to getting to you all.

Best - Scott

Howdy Skippy,

"Welcome" from the Up-State, SC area (LBC Heaven). I`m quite certain you`ll get to meet / chat with a bunch of Vintage Race Car fans here & maybe even get some "Seat Orders".

Have Fun,

Russ

Uh-oh... :jester:

Pleased to make yer acquaintance, Scott!

Steve's been diligent at keepin' that beast honest. We even have photos.

Welcome Scott!

Always good to have another vintage racer on board.
My first street car was a drum brake MGA
(but I got it in the late '60s

~Here~ is a sample of my most recent vintage outing at the Pittsburgh Vintage (about 5 weeks ago).
I was at the Lime Rock Vintage last weekend, but just spectating...so it drove me crazy.
I have another race next week.
Look forward to hearing about your adventures.

Welcome, Scott....are you gonna post up photos over in the racing area?

DrEntropy - I've seen Steves GT in person and I must tell you its one of the best turned our MGs I have ever seen. Yes, I have GT envy!

Thanks guys! Nial, was the silver Spridget driven by Chris Meyers?

Heres a video from last year - Sears Point from the back of the grid.

Yes indeed, that was Chris in the silver Midget.
As you probably know, he also has an MGA Twincam (I know he took the MGA to Laguna last year).
I guess I'm sort of an unofficial member of the MG Vintage Racers.

Great charge through the field in your video, by the way.

Here's me and Paul King (GT6) chasing Chris in his Twincam last year at New Hampshire. I had a great time chasing him there too.

Thanks Nial! Chris lost a motor in his TC last year. Broke his crank in 3 places. ouch!
Chris, Jim and myself put the Laguna Seca event together last year. Great fun and lots of MGs. In fact we are going to do it again in 2011, this time at Sears Point. 2 days of testing and 2 days of racing.

Broken in three places...ugh.
Then again, I replace the rod bearings in my 1500 every 25 hours just to keep it alive.

Anyway, I was just reading the Sept Vintage Motorsport last night and realized that your car was one of the two MGAs featured. Wow. Great article!

You may know that Chris also set up the east-coast MG Focus Event last year at New Jersey Motosports Park.
I was in that race.....although I started from the back because my car was stuck in 4th gear. It was still fun, but obviously I had a super-slow start.

~Here~ is that race.
(although not terriblly exciting from the view of a one-speed Spridget :jester: )

Will you be at the all British show at Brisbane Marina tomorrow?
