I've been restoring a 59 TR3A TS45911L since 2003. Complete, frame-off restoration. I rebuilt the chassis, suspension, etc. myself. Engine completely replaced inside except the crank itself. Tranny updated with synchro in low gear. After extensive metal work (the old fashioned way) by Ray Petre in Nixa, MO and a body finish/paint by Chemical Skin in Loveland, CO (we moved), I now have a new body sitting on the new chassis. I'm in the process of finishing the assembly. Bought many parts from Moss, some on Ebay, some from Victoria British. I have stayed "close" to original except for a high-torque starter and an alumninum radiator with no crank hole. The original color (3 colors ago) was Silverstone Grey, with a Plum interior. We used a "modern" version of the Grey which looks like metallic pewter to me and I have a black/white piping interior kit ready to be fitted. It's finally beginning to look like a car now and I'm looking forward to getting it finished. The body and paint work were the biggest outlay (no surprise), but I bought most of the parts I need several years ago. I've been griping about having to wait on others, now I'm in the hot seat myself! I'll post some pictures soon. Looking forward to the expertise that is available on this site.
